I had an idea for a new digital art journal piece so I created a “stencil” for when I’m ready to start on it. When I look at the time throughout the day I will often see one or more of the numbers in the stencil; years ago I went by the name 8:25 Photography as I was seeing that time very frequently, it is also my birth date…8/25.

Since my last post earlier this week I started on a second digital greeting card for my cousins upcoming birthday. She loves mermaids and sea life. I created the dolphin in Daz Studio and used digital assets from DesignCuts, DesignBundles, and Creative Fabrica. The card is created in Affinity Designer using vector shapes, then the assets are added on different layers. I have it set up as a tri-fold card and the front banner will lift up out of the way when I animate the pieces.

That’s all for now. Thank you for visiting and stay safe and healthy. Until next time…

That dolphin card sounds awesome. It’s really cool that you made the dolphin in Daz so it’s a 3d object as well.

I like playing in Daz…just wish my head were wrapped around it a little better when it comes to rendering/post processing. I’ve found some new videos from others who seem to know what they’re doing and it definitely helps watching them. Oh, and thank you 😊
