Week 18 of 365 Project 2020

This week is all about textures, or patterns, taken with my iPhone 11 Pro and processed in JixiPix’s Vintage Scene where I created a preset for the weeks photos on my iPad Pro. With that said, on with my week…

Sunday morning I ordered the string trimmer from Home Depot and waited for them to let me know it was ok to pick up…they never did. I went to fill up my water bottles at the water store, then went to Costco to get what I needed from there, unfortunately I forgot my Costco card so I couldn’t put gas in the car or get needed items. My last stop was Home Depot, there was a long line of people waiting to get in again. I talked to the two guys outside, who were keeping track of how many people were going inside, and showed them my email. One went inside to talk to someone at the customer service counter, then he motioned me inside. I signed my name and he handed me the box with my new string trimmer…can’t wait to try it out!

On Monday I was busy cleaning house in the morning, then did a Costco run – got gas and groceries – with my final stop being for my weekly Ma Po Tofu. It was outside of the restaurant that I came across a bush bursting at the seams with pink and white flowers…I just had to take the shot!

Yesterday's Flowers

Tuesday was spent doing laundry and cleaning up the garage a bit, mostly getting rid of packaging from recent orders. I also put the new string trimmer together and put the battery on the charger. As for today’s photo, one of our agave’s is in full bloom, so I took a close up shot of the flowers.

We All Fall Down

On Wednesday I weed whacked the front and back yards with the new string trimmer. Got frustrated with reloading string as I followed the directions in the manual and it wasn’t working. Thankfully I found a couple of videos on YouTube that showed a first step that was not in the manual. On a happy note, my Asiatic Lilies are opening enough to get some nice shots.

Layers and Shadows

Thursday I had to go out to get dog food and salads, got some other food too. So far, during the stay-at-home restriction, I’ve lost 8 pounds! I only want to lose 2 more, then I’ll have to figure out how to maintain the weight, not lose more. Now if only I could motivate myself enough to clean out a room to put the Total Gym in, so I can work out. 🙂

Spinning Wheel

On Friday I did stuff around the house until 1, when MacBites After Hours started. Luckily I had taken pictures earlier in the day, so I wasn’t scrambling like yesterday for something to shoot. This is one of the Asiatic lilies up close, as I was thinking of a name for the photo I saw a cat face and thought of Tweety bird. Let me know in the comments if you can see the putty tat.

I Tawt I Taw a Putty Tat

Today, Saturday, I relaxed (am relaxing). I have a birthday card I need to work on and will start once I publish this post. Actually, I have 3 birthday cards I need to make and 1 Mother’s Day card. Today’s photo is a rusted part of a metal shed.

Rust Never Sleeps

Well…that’s all for this week. Thank you very much for visiting. Stay safe and healthy.

  1. Its interesting that you lost weight Debbie, I think most people are gaining. Maybe its all that post processing you do that burns off the calories!

    1. Mike, I think it has to do with not going out to get lunch every day. Plus I’m not snacking or eating bread, pasta, or pizza (not that I ate a lot of it). Would be nice if post processing burned calories. 😂
