This past week found me mostly around the house, either pulling weeds in the back yard, or cleaning out a closet in one of the bedrooms. I’ve been having some issues with the Achilles tendon on my left leg again which makes walking pretty painful; which means I can’t go out for walks and take photos. I’m getting tired of taking photos around the house!
With that said, let’s get on with the week…
On Sunday I was back outside pulling weeds again. But before I started I noticed the basket of cherry tomatoes had been blown off of its perch. I thought the way they landed made a nice composition, so I got down on my knees and took a couple of photos.
Monday is cleaning day and I had to scramble at the last minute for something to photograph. The day before I had picked up a Cupping Therapy Set from CVS. If you saw the Jackie Chan version of Karate Kid you would have seen the glass version; what I got is made from silicone and comes with 4 different sizes. Anyway, I used Average Camera Pro App to take a photo of the 2 bigger sizes.
Then, on Tuesday I was back outside pulling more weeds. It was then that I noticed movement among some weeds not too far from me. Yep, it was a gopher…obviously s/he is not eating fast enough 🙂 Thank goodness I had my phone on hand. For those old enough to remember Laugh In – remember when Arte Johnson and Ruth Buzzie used to dress up as old people? One time Arte asked Ruth, “Do you believe in the hereafter?” followed by, “Then you know what I’m here after.” Well, that was my gopher friend. I included 2 photos that made me think of that skit.
Wednesday was pretty quiet and I gave my left ankle a rest. After getting the mail I noticed that the small Jade plant was full of flowers. I stopped down and got some different angles.
I got some Chinese food on Thursday and noticed that there were pansies in the planter outside of one of the restaurants close by. It’s about an 8 foot circumference so I couldn’t get as close as I would have liked. I love the “face” that some pansies have.
Friday I was back outside pulling weeds, I had to get a shot of this lone dandelion flower before plucking it out of the Earth.
Saturday I finally got around to cleaning out a closet in one of the bedrooms, it has been on my To-Do list for way too long. Needless to say it was another day of scrambling for something to photograph. I picked up one of those Futzuki’s at our local Grocery Outlet sometime last year. That was what I decided to take a photo of…up close and personal.
And there you have it. I’m now caught up with this years project. Thanks for visiting!
