For my 2 mile walk around Moorpark College today I was excited to try out a new app I had just purchased – Photo Mirror. It was exactly what I have been looking for for an iPhone. Yes, iPad’s have Photo Booth which includes a mirror camera, but I don’t feel comfortable walking around with a 12.9″ screen to take photos. Most of the other mirror apps I have use a photo you’ve already taken, not exactly what I want when looking for “nature faces”.
After parking and locking the car, I start up the app and…nothing! Black screen where it should be getting the camera info. Frustrated I cursed, not out loud. I reminded myself I was there more to walk at least 2 miles, not take pictures. When I did want to take a photo, I used the Slow Shutter Cam app; even that didn’t last long. By 12:33 my phone was down to 20% – I was hardly on it and it was charging all night. Guess its time for a new phone especially since this one will more than likely not upgrade to the new OS next year.
When I got home I decided to try running some of the slow shutter cam photos through Photo Mirror, oh yeah, it was working fine using photos I had already taken. Out of a slow shutter agave I got a heart! How cool is that? I then used Topaz Studio 2 to style it and make the heart stand out even more.
