I was hoping to be able to go for a hike this morning. I say hope because I’ve been waiting for the “perfect” overcast/cloudy day. After a rotten night of sleep, or lack thereof, I wasn’t sure I still wanted to go; after looking outside, I knew I had to go. I was in search of lupine’s to photograph. The area where there were several bushes had none, it looked like they had died. Earlier, a woman had told me about walking up one of the washes; I’m glad I turned around and then walked up that wash/trail. There was a beautiful lupine bush!
So why didn’t I use any of one of those photos for today’s post? Because I decided to do a separate post, not part of my 365 project, of the hike and the pretty wildflowers I saw along the way. There is a golf course along part of the trail and the parking lot. I saw a beautiful tree with pretty purple flowers on it, from there, I walked along the fencing and came upon this scene…looking toward the beginning of the course. When I took the shot I knew it was to be today’s photo.
