Had a nice day of surprises. First off was my dad coming out for a visit, and then that he was fine walking around Moorpark College with me. I haven’t been there in a while and thought I’d take photos of wet flowers; little did I know that they cut down/back all the rose bushes and some of the other flowers. When I got behind the art buildings there were all sorts of new surprises/things to photograph. The biggest surprise was this sculpture that a student did. Being a sci-fi/fantasy lover I got down on hands and knees to capture this resting on the concrete sidewalk.
My other surprise was that my dad would walk around as I would stop and take photos, and I felt like I was doing a photo challenge…stopping quickly and taking a photo of whatever caught my eye. It was exciting and a great way to get used to my camera plus I was seeing things I’ve never noticed before…kind of felt like a street photographer without being on a street.
