I did my first hike of the year today…yay!! When I parked the car there were some cool cloud formations, but by the time I got to this location the clouds had thinned out/looked more wispy.
I brought my 10 stop neutral density filter with me and a tripod. To my disappointment, the bushes had grown up and I couldn’t get as close to the gate as I have in past years. I had to open my lightweight tripod all the way to get above the brush. The photo is not as sharp as I would have liked as it was windy and this was a 4 second shot (see the tree branches on the left); I do like what the long exposure did to the clouds…it looks like a giant “Z” in the sky, hence today’s caption.
