Day 3 of 365

To capture today’s photo I had to get on my hands and knees. But I’m getting a bit ahead of myself…I was playing ball with my dog and he had stopped down over in the back corner of the yard. I walked over to see what he was doing, then had to find where he had dropped the ball; while searching I saw a couple of trumpet vine flowers down on the ground. I made a note to self of the location as they were hidden from plain view.

When we finished playing ball, I went inside and got my camera and a 20mm extension tube. I proceeded back outside after attaching said tube to the Nikon to micro 4/3 converter, then attaching the Sigma 50mm macro lens (I think one of my projects’ photo will be of the setup). I went to the spot and got down on all fours looking for the angle I wanted. I managed to get a couple of shots before the dog came through and moved things around. Since I was in a shady spot I had to wait for everything to stop moving as my shutter speed was very low (specs below). I took my first shot, which was a macro of the  stamen?? (I love taking photos of flowers, but don’t remember much about the names of the different parts). I then went into the camera menu and selected multiple exposure, then selected an overlay image, the first one I took. I then took a second shot of just a pink petal.
